Are you playing on the PokerStars Mac client and trying to autoimport the hands into PT3 on XP via Parallels? If so you need to move your hand history folder into a directory that is shared between the two machines. If you've already done that you just need to make sure the hand history directory is set correctly in PT3.

The instructions on 2+2 are just so that you can have the actual database on the Mac side which isn't that important. The only real benefit is that you wouldn't have to reimport your hands if and when PT3 for Mac comes out. If you still want to do this, the Mac's address is 10.37.129.2. I don't think you actually need to do the internet sharing thing but if it works it works. I have VMware and have done something similar on there.

Here are the important parts with the correct information for you:
3c. open pg_hba.conf and add the line:
host all all 10.37.129.0/24 trust

3. Create a New Database. Give it an obvious description "DB@Mac" or something, and specify the hostname to be 10.37.129.2

Av is correct, though running PostgreSQL natively on your Mac will give you a speed boost, and it should be a bit more stable also. Personally, if I were going to be running a Mac, I'd want PostgreSQL native on my Mac and the VM doing as little as possible (which in this case would be PT3 + poker site).

The bit in your ifconfig that you actually want to target is:
vnic1: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 10.37.129.2 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 10.37.129.255
ether 00:1c:42:00:00:09
media: autoselect status: active
supported media: autoselect
