If the blue line below the green indicates an unlucky situation, then this graph indicates that the hand shaded on the graph was an unlucky situation. This hand was KK vs
ATo. My expected was T878 my actual was T1130, and the actual result was greater than expected by T252's. Yet the green line (expected) is above the blue (actual), indicating that the hand performed less than expected, when in fact it exceeded expectations in terms of T$'s.

Can you explain this?

If you showed just that hand alone on the graph it wouldn't look that way I think - the graphs are cumulative, so in this particular case the blue line got closer to the green line because the blue line went up faster than the green line went up.

Okay. I knew there was a cumulative aspect, because if I were to alter the timeline to a month or year, the relationship between the lines change. But in this case, I thought that maybe because it was only a week, I was getting a truer picture of one hand's impact on the graph. I know as well that alon wrote the program to present general trends, so all this makes sense.

My sudden interest in this particular aspect of the graph is due to some variance I've been experiencing, and I wanted to take a deeper look and evaluate if it was due to normal variance or a series of bad choices on my part. The hands tab will probably provided sufficient info on that

You can evaluate single hand performance from the graph also. In your case, the shaded hand red line goes up slightly indicating that it performed better than expected. If you look closely, you can see that the blue line has a steeper incline than the green line
