Access violation when importing hands

Postby Joss » Thu Feb 05, 2009 9:30 am

Hi all

Im getting the error message : Access violation (1) (Flags: 0; Address: 0x0067cf20)(Line #195)

It does not happen all the time .. but does happen often ... i have to restart PT as it stops importing hands after such a message ..

Im using the latest version and have had no other problems .

Any ideas ?

Please enable logging (Configure --> Options --> Logging Enabled and restart PT3) and play normally until you see this error again, then attach the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log and C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTrackerHud.log files to a support ticket and we'll look into what could be causing this for you.

hi,

thanks for the reply... i've decided to re-build a brand new build 4 db from a build 3 export - painstaking, but hopefully i'll be able to isolate any hh's that cause the app to go over...

couple of things though:

1. getting loads of "invalid pot sizes" for FT tournies?

2. any way of exporting all my Stars tournie summaries - i don't see how i can rebuild these if i can't as i can't request enough of them again from Stars themselves...?

thanks

i'll keep you updated, but probably best if you put this on hold - not worth you guys spending time investigating the violation if it's a few rogue hh's that can be skipped in my re-build...

Some of the invalid pot size issues with Full Tilt have been fixed for the next beta release.

I thought that tournament summaries you imported into PT3 would get exported with the Export function; is that not working for you?

Just to let you know ... Ive not played a Stars MTT since so ive had no errors .. ( sick of the place TBH  )

Saying that .. i did have a couple on the ipoker tables .. but nothing to worry me too much ...

If the problem returns and is persistant .. then i will send log files .

Thanks again

ChromaKey,

We're looking into the summary exporting; it used to work but tests have shown on our end it's not working either so we're going to get that fixed.

Joss,

If you do have further problems, please do submit those log files.

I spoker too soon ... now i know its this problem that caused hands to be missing in the session tab but showed up in the graph tab ...

Its a real pain now, as its stops importing hands even though PT carries on ...

Sadly .. i was in a middle of a session and just started PT3 again .. so the log has changed to that session ..

But its bound to happen again .. so ill send a ticket next time ..

The sooner you can send us those log files the sooner we can look at it and get it fixed; we unfortunately have been unable to reproduce these problems on our end.

Its all going a little Pete Tong at this end :)

The very next session ... I kept an eye on the hand import and got no access violation errors ... but after 30 or so hands i realised the HUD was not updating .. I had around 7 hands played on each table ..I kept going and played 200 hands ... but it did not change .

This is now weird as i got no error message and the hands imported ok ..

Ive sent a ticket ( ID 49813 ) showing the HUD notes, I tried to send the PT notes aswell, but it just kept loading for ages ..

I will try another session and see how it goes ... its all very stop start :(
