hi,

i think it's because something went wrong with the sql installation or configuration.

when i start pt its just showing the small oval pt3 sign and then nothing happens for hours. tried to start it a few times.

where and how to start troubleshooting?

Mac OS X 10.6.8

Thanks

Your screenshot looks OK, but can you expand the tree on the left if you double click on PostgreSQL 8.4 (localhost)? The default password, if PT3 installed PostgreSQL, is "dbpass".
Do you see any databases listed there, other than "postgres"?

If PostgreSQL doesn't appear to be working, and you haven't used it before on this computer, you could try re-installing it - directions here.

Alternatively, start PT3 with logging enabled (by holding Alt while starting) and let it run for a few minutes and then attach the PokerTracker.log file to a Support ticket.
