Tips for handling big databases?

Postby Chappie » Thu Jan 15, 2009 2:27 pm

I've got a pretty fast PC, yet still if I look at date ranges of any length, it can take a long time to open up the file. Is there a way to only pull up MY stats, rather than load up all 10,000+ players I've played against last year? Are there any other things I might do to speed up the process? I have already turned off auto-rate for myself, but I think that only helps speed up the hand retrieval, right?

It's your stats that are causing the slowness, not the other players because that's what it's trying to retrieve. There really isn't anything you can do to speed up the display other than using more restrictive date filters.

does PT3 help with this at all?

Also is there any chance of adding 3 bet stats to PT2?

I don't support PT3, please ask this question in the PT3 forums.

No more changes are going to be made to PT2.
