hhdb.mdb and ptrack.mdb

Postby PhiLLeDINGUE » Fri Feb 13, 2009 6:35 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to get all my old PT2 data bases into one big PT3 data base but I'm having isues ...

First of all I have sooo many files and I don't know exactly what to do with them.... I have a bunch of ptrackxxxxx.mdb and few hhdbxxx.mdb , but it's not equal. I mean i might have 10x ptrack.mdb and 4x hh.mdb Do I need a hh to match for each ptrack?? is there a way to figure out witch match witch??

Also, I think it might be related to the same thing, but when I'm exporting a data base into .txt files, it takes a while (300k hands) and then tells me a bunch of error to finaly discovers that 0 hands were converted, only errors ....

I've also tried to convert an access data base into to sql and then import it directly with PT3 but it doesnt work either...

I've look on the forum alot and now after 2 days i'm exhausted

any suggestions??

thanks

There isn't a 1-to-1 correlation between the ptrack files and the hhdb files. The hhdb files just store the hand history text of the hands that were loaded into the ptrack files which contain the actual statistical data. If you are getting errors exporting that the text couldn't be found then it means that PT couldn't find the text of the hand in any of the hhdb files.

On the Utilities > Database Maintenance and Options window, on the Hand History DB's tab you should link all the other hhdb files (not hhdb.mdb) so that PT knows to look through all of those files to try to find the hand history text.
