I also tried the tourney conversion (thanks PartyAnimal) and was not quite as shattered when I saw the results. One thing came to mind tho, the tourney version requires a quick filter than in one's haste may not be applied.
Is there a way of linking a quick filter to a defined report such that when the report is selected the filter gets auto applied, or have I just come up with a wonderful new feature suggestion?
PJs - We admit there is a bug in the conversion to tornaments from cash game Custom Reports (that will be fixed soon), but I'd like to elaborate on how filtering is performed differently in Custom Reports. In the interface of PokerTracker 4 you will find 3 filters in almost all locations.
1) Global Filters (more filters)
2) Simple Filters (Date, Stake, etc)
3) Quick Filters (global filters saved as presets)
My Reports uses all of the above 3 filters, but the downside of using these options is that they are temporary - if you use any of these methods to filter then the filter will not be saved in the report as the default. That is why we added a special option just for My Reports. On the left hand side of the window, right below the Report Stats list, you will find a link that says
Filters. Click that link to open that
Edit Report Filter window. This is a tool that allows programers to create their own complex filters, but for the average user we have a better option - click
Simple Filters to open up the standard filter interface (the name of this button will change soon, but the functionality will not change). Enter your filter options, when you click
Save and Apply Filters you will see the popup warning below which explains that the Simple Filters you just set will be saved with the Custom Report, and override any other global filter that you may use while viewing the report.
Once you save the report, the Filter you just defined will be saved with the report!
