Hi...

I need help

I was searching the web all day reading users with same problem or similar problem I tried everything and nothing worked

I was trying to share my database in macosx to vwmare windows than when I said for myself is better to quite I cant think anymore how to do it ( 2 days trying ) and when I logout vmware machine and start pokertracker on MacOsx now it says cant connect .

So I started PgAdmin with all Default and nothing happens ... well it happens gave me the failed conection .
I have PostgreSQL 9.0 so I installed 9.3 and now it lets me connect with same localhost port etc... but the database in pokertracker is from the zero ... I uninstall 9.3 again and back to 9.0 and the problem persists
Can connect anymore ... so my database have years with to much information if I loose all of is almost like to learn walking from the begining .

THE ONLY THING I DID was to copy PostgreSQL folder as I cant anymore backup the database ... so I still have the PostgreSQL folder I always used.

What can I do? I already tried everything...

I re-edited all the .conf to default

Here are some printscreens

Remember that you need to change the permissions back after making changes to the files on Mac, or it won't work - guide.

If you changed the files back to how they were and reset the folder permissions then it should work OK again after you restart the server (or reboot your computer).

If you install a different version to the same port number then PT4 will see it, but your old databases won't be visible because they're not in the new PostgreSQL they're in the old one.

If you're still not able to get it working please open a Support Ticket with a link to this thread and someone will work with you directly to get it sorted.

That's good to hear - thanks for the update.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking with your last question. You should not import into the same database from two places at once - that can corrupt the database.

Go to Database > Database Management and click New then Browse to Existing Database to connect to your database. To see your stats you'll need to add/select your screenname in the player list in View Stats. (Guide)

If both your Mac and Windows are connected to the same database then both will have access to the same data, including hand histories.
The hand history FILES will only exist on the computer on which they were played though.
