Do any filters affect Place Finish in reports?

Postby pt4pt4pt4 » Sat Jan 05, 2013 1:32 am

if you select 1st - 9th and run a report with any filters they stay constant at same value.

Is this a bug or a limitation?

It depends what type of filters you use - any filters related to actions in specific hands won't affect overall tournament information such as results. To filter out entire tournaments you'd need to use filters which work at the tournament level, like dates or buy-ins.

One of the things that i found useful in HM.

Sometimes a situation can have an impact on the overall ITM.

Is it difficult to include this option during import?

Can you explain exactly what you're trying to do please?
I'm not sure what you mean by "include this option during import".

This is very basic but every time I was dealt pocket aces in any tourney and how my finish Placing is adjusted (then i compare to my overall placings w/o filters).

I am assuming that this needs to be done during import to include this feature? IDK

Yeah, that kind of filter will only affect certain reports, because of the way some reports are constructed. For example it does affect the Statistics > Summary > Group by Tournament report, so you could add the 1st - 9th stats to that report and use the summary row to get totals.

Ok, so use summary report totals to give you this answer.

Is it alot of work for the devs to make this stat (1-9 finished) affected by all other stats?

I can see this becoming very useful in the future.

Due to the way the filters are constructed at this point I don't see a good way to make that change - but I see the value you're looking for here, and I agree it would be useful.

i just created a test report using:

Trny #
1-10 Place
and set AA as the holdem range in quick filter.

The results for each 1-10 places are the same with or without the AA hand filter.

How do i set this filter to affect the 1-10 places for the summary totals at the bottom?

So I added your Filter expression if I had a A or K:

tourney_hand_player_statistics.id_hand in (SELECT chps.id_hand from tourney_hand_player_statistics chps WHERE chps.flg_hero and chps.id_holecard in (1, 26))

And it affected the results finishes but it multiplied the finish numbers depending on how many times I hit those combos in one tourney.

1 - Is there a way to prevent that or do I have to use an export to spreadsheet and clean it up that way?

I also tried using the filter expression of #BB Won#>25 by itself. It filtered the total tourneys that I had and returns a couple of tourneys # that matches the condition.

Now If I add the Stats 1st Place with it, then I get the long red error message of: Unable to execite query:(SELECT(tourney......

2- How can I add the BB Won stat to affect the finish places?

I am using Player Reports and have checked Filter on Active Player
