A version of pokertracker is already running

i get this message when i try to open pokertracker 4 on my mac. I cant find it in the a monitor activity or processes

I tried to uninstall postgresql and pt4 and install pt4 again.. but it says the same stupid thing. Now i already removed all, but i guess something is still there, when it continues to happen.
I still have my hand history in pokerstars, so i can import that to pt4 when it works again and get my old hands and stats back right?

Please reply ASAP...

Please try restarting your machine and then re-running the installer and let me know if that doesn't work.

i dont know how, but i somehow managed to get PT4 open. Then i imported the hand history and played. I tried to start PT4 today and gets this error:

"Error connecting to the default database
please select one of the valid databases below or create a new one"

When i try to create a new one it says:

unable to create postgresql database
pt_2013_03_22_091221
reason: unable to login to database (template1). reason: could not connect to server: no such file or directory is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432.?

What should i do?

Open Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal and run this command and paste your output here:
ps auxw | grep -i postgres

Please follow the troubleshooting steps from earlier in the thread - in particular, try restarting your computer.

I have same problems. I try to re-install PT twice and it didn't work.

Have you tried following the steps from earlier in this thread?
