PT 4, Mac OS Sierra, Pokerstars - Overheating badly

Over the last few days I've been having very bad problems with my computer overheating, to the point where it burns my finger if I touch the body of my Macbook Pro.

The problem seems to have started when Pokerstars did their last update, but I don't believe it's the Pokerstars program that is causing the issue. I'm using V4.14.21 of PT4 with MacOS Sierra 10.12.2 Beta (16C41b)

If I run Pokerstars and PT4 together, my computer gets dangerously hot. I have to shut everything down. If I run PS alone, it warms up, but everything stays within normal limits.

Since the last PS update, I've noticed that the "Get hands while playing" option in PT4 seems to go extremely slow. If I play a bunch of hands without PT4 running and then go to import them by using the get while playing function, it imports about 1 hand every 2 seconds, whereas before it would import several hands per second. Also, even without pokerstars running, if I import a bunch of previously played hands this way, my computer starts overheating.

As I'm writing this, I have Pokerstars loaded and logged in, but no tables open. I also have PT4 running and set to import hands while playing, but there is nothing to import. My CPU temp is reading nearly 70C, it's hot to the touch, and fans are blowing at full. As soon as I stop the get hands while playing function, the temperature starts to drop.

I'm not sure if it's Pokerstars that is causing the problem, or if they changed something that is making PT4 work harder, but something is definitely off. I'm hoping you can help me figure out what it is. :) Please let me know if there's any other information that I can give that would be helpful.

Anyhone else having this issue?

It´s not pt4 doing this!

It´s pokerstars new release and they are working on it according to 2+2 thread.
Others including me has the same problem for mac.

edit: I use el capitan so it´s not sierra either.

@ pokerolga - thanks for the information.

@ fuzzball - please open a Support Ticket and report your problem so that we can check your logs for anything unusual on the PokerTracker 4 side of things.

Thank you both for the responses. I've opened a support ticket to see if there's anything that can be found/done on the PT4 end of things.

Judging by the 2+2 thread, there's definitely a problem with PS software, but there also seems to be something going wrong in the import function...I'm guessing caused by something Stars changed.

What problem with importing was there?
Didn´t notice anything but might have missed it.
Stars client was updated yesterday and it´s now working at normal cpu.

There isn't any issue with the importing as far as I am aware.

This issue was related to PokerStars and was resolved nearly a year ago. Specifically what performance problems are you having? If your CPU is overheating then that is usually caused by an underlying issue with your computer rather than anything to do with any software you are running.

I'm having this issue on my macbook pro.

I have all the apps updated and the mac aswell.
Postgres and Pokertracker processes are almost always on 100%

My mac configuration:

Macbook Pro Retina 15" Late 2013
16gb memory
Intel Core i7 2,3ghz
SSD 512mb

It seems to have something wrong cause I see people using your program with way worst setups.
I already created this ticket #328435 with my log files to see if PT has to do something on this case.
