Can NC color code PT's player notes?

I'm wondering if NC can change the color of a player's PT4 note (as in the outline you can select for a villain when you click their note icon). I know NC can do this for Poker Stars players by changing the notes file in the PS folder. But I'm really hoping it can somehow do this for PT4's player notes. This would essentially allow color coding for other sites other than just PS. Hope that makes sense. Thanks!

Hello,

Notecaddy can do the color coding of the player according to the color definitions set up. In fact it has it´s own set of color definitions one can use.

Check in the folder in your desktop "NoteCaddy Coaching Pack Files" folder for the "auto rate rules" and how to use them.

These autorate rules or the default ones will work on some poker rooms but not Pokerstars as they don´t allow that feature to be used. For PS the method you mention is what we use to go around the limitation and do that analysis offline.

I think you might have misunderstood what I was asking. I am aware of the NC feature that allows you to create color definitions. I use them and am familiar with how they work.

But what I was asking was whether there is a way not just to color PokerStars notes based on active color definitions (this is a feature you can select on the bottom of the main screen in NC), but whether it's possible for NC to change the color in PT'4s player note. For example, when you click on a player note icon in the HUD, you can select a color from a dropdown menu, and as a result the HUD stats will have a corresponding color outline around it. See this example image below:



This is something NC can do with PokerStars players because it changes the note file in the PokerStars folder. (I believe it could do the same with the now-defunct Full Tilt site.) But I'm wondering if NC can do this to players in a PT4 database. This would effectively mean you'd see the result of a color definition via the HUD no matter what site you were playing on. Doe that make more sense?

In short, no. There is no option in Pokertracker at the moment we can link to the Notecaddy color definitions.

What you are requesting is effectively the "autorate rules" in action as they worked in HoldemManager2.

Pokertracker had an option to setup autorules for the player notes. This is no longer the case.

Without an option to set up the auto rate rules in Pokertracker, Notecaddy does not have a place/folder to assign the color definitions to the PT4 player notes. This is how NC used color definitions with HM2 as it still had an option to set up "autorate" rules as PT did have at the time.

After the pokerstars rules change and the followup updates of both Pokertracker and Holdem Manager, autorate rules are no longer avaliable in the current versions. I can´t tell if this will change in the future again, but I also loved this feature.

I have made some suggestions on possible ways to improve the use of the Notecaddy features and packs in Pokerstars. As to save the badges permanently doing a scan/print offline, like the one for the tags so we can better use the badges system. Having a way to use the "Autorate" rules again is something I mentioned as well, even if limited to running offline, but I cannot give you a timeframe for these suggestions to be implemented or even if they will be.

That's too bad. I think something like an autorate feature (similar to the one for HM) would be fantastic.

I do realize that Stars doesn't allow for some features that trackers like PT and HM provide, but mostly I was hoping to use it on other sites where there aren't limitations on things like badges, autorating, etc. I play on Winning Poker Network and a couple of other sites, and it would be great to have a feature like this.

I think a useful way to implement something like this would be to have a rule trigger a color change in a player's note (like I showed in my last post). It's a shame PT discontinued their autorules function from years ago. Not sure why they stopped it. :/
