database error on Trial version

Postby rep77 » Mon Sep 14, 2009 11:15 am

Hi, I installed the trial version last night, but got the following database error when trying to import.

I downloaded the full version, and currently run PT3.

Thanks.

Is there any other error before that one? Are you using an Access database or PostgreSQL?

That's the first error, and I'm using postgres.

I'm not used to PT2, but it didn't ask me any postgres questions like PT3 does during setup, so I would assume its something to do with that, but I couldn't access the database menu's in trial mode.

OK, if you didn't set up a PostgreSQL database in PTS then you are using Access. It's strange to get that error so soon though. Try repairing the database using the Repair option on the Utilities menu.

I just assumed PTS would run via postgres as I have that set up and already running HEM and PT3 with it, when I buy it how could I get it to run via postgres?

Thanks.

repairing the database fixed the problem, I'd still prefer to go with postgres when I register though.

Thanks.
