How do I make a HEM-style hud from scratch?

Postby hohoho » Sat Oct 03, 2009 7:04 am

I want to make a hem style hud from scratch, place the stats where I want just like PokerAcehud.

How do I do this?

You just right click drag the stat groups to where you want them.
If you want to split stats up into groups you just add more groups.

See the HUD Guides in the Documentation.

Thanks - that worked great!

However, I have noticed now I am using 4 x 'groups', everything has got laggy.

What should I do to increase performance of the HUD? My PC is a quad-core 2.6ghz with 3 gig of ram. I run many dbases for HUD, should I cut back on the number?

That would likely help. Also if you don't run housekeeping regularly running it once might help as well.

I do housekeeping very regular - I will cut back on some of the dbases and see if this helps.

One other thing, stats disappear sometimes from just 1 player. And also, some stats disappear completely from the tables (usually when sitting out) and they take forever to reappear...ideas?

What site are you playing at? Some sites stop writing hands when you sit out.

Also, have you looked at the HEM style HUD available in our repository?

I'm playing at pokerstars - you really need to get a fix so we retain the stats when I sit out, because I sit out and clear out the tight tables, but the stats disappear.

I saw the hem hud in the repository, I might try it.

When you are not playing PokerStars does not write hand histories and PT3 is not allowed to import more than 30 observed hands per session, but if you enable the Auto Import > PokerStars Configuration > Enable Memory Grabber option then the observed hands will still be read and the HUD displayed with any player stats you already have.

I have always had 'ENABLE MEMORY GRABBER' activated for Pokerstars.

I am wondering if I have too many dbases using the HUD? I run around 20 dbases, of 1M+ hands each.

Have you run full housekeeping on all of the databases that you have configured the HUD to use?
That does sound like a lot of databases to be using in the HUD - how are they arranged? If some of the have old hands then the information in them is probably less relevant so could be left out of the HUD.
Alternatively you would get better performance by combining hands from some of them - once they are cached the database size is less relevant.
