Windows 7/HUD/Bet Pot issue

Postby Robbie Robb » Mon Oct 26, 2009 2:40 pm

Has/is anyone else running into a problem running the above? My Bet Pot no longer works on both Stars & Tilt while I'm running PT3's HUD. I turn off the HUD and Bet Pot starts working fine again. I should mention that the ONLY thing I'm currently using Bet Pot for is to set my mouse's thumb button to fold. I'm not using it for any of its Pot Betting. :)

Anyone else experience the same? Any solutions?

Windows 7 Ultimate (Aero on)
Bet Pot 0.21x
PT3 beta 29.1

Make sure that the PT icon is not covering the pot values; I think BetPot's other functions won't work (even if they're not pot related) if that's covered up. Right click and drag the edges of the PT Icon to move it.

Thanks for the quick response. I can verify that the PT icon is tucked safely away at the top of each window and not covering the pot amounts. Still no luck.

I'm not sure if it's related or not, but try disabling Aero and see if things work better; we have had people find things do work better with Aero disabled.

I'll give it another try as soon as this SNG is done that I'm playing. I'd rather not have to play with Aero disabled though as I quite like it. :) I know during my initial testing over the past few days (when I thought it was a Bet Pot pixel issue) I tried it with Aero off and didn't have any luck. I'll try again though now that I'm narrowing down the issue.

Just tested with Aero off - still not working when HUD is on. :(

Silly sounding suggestion: try actually clicking on the table then not mousing over the HUD and see if it works then (I'm wondering if our table cover is causing BetPot confusion . . .)

I'm willing to try anything! :) (up to, and possibly including sacrificing chickens)

No luck with your suggestion though. When the HUD is active it appears that Bet Pot simply won't let me click. Also, I'm not 100% on this but it MAY be causing Table Ninja (Full Tilt) confusion as well. When I suspected Bet Pot was bad (visualize Gary Larson Far Side "When good food goes bad" comic here), I tried TNFT and ran into the same thing - it worked on the first hand but then stopped working. I realize now this is because the HUD wasn't displaying anything during the first hand. I haven't had a chance to test TNFT again yet as it involves changing my mouse assignments but I'll try that as well later on tonight.

Ok, keep us posted on that. Unfortunately I'm not that good with AHK so I'm not certain how to check to see what's going on but I'll ask around and see if anybody around here knows anything. For what it's worth, PSC hasn't caused me any problems, so it's not a generic problem with AHK wholesale.

Okay, not much to report on the TNFT side of things. It doesn't appear to be working with the HUD turned on OR off. This leads me to believe that my issue with that program is simply operator error. I've never used it until yesterday so it's entirely possible I've screwed up a setting with that program.
