Pokertracker for MAC???

Postby Demo628 » Wed Jan 07, 2009 12:46 pm

I can't seem to find any documentation that Poker Tracker is MAC compatible. Is it, or am I out of luck?

You can use PT3 via Parallels or VMWare Fusion or some other virtual machine software (in which you run Windows) but there is not yet a native PT3 version for Mac. There are plans to make one eventually but it will be quite some time before it's available.

I have been using PT3 for the last year. My licence just expired a few weeks ago. I changes my equipement to a MAC and have troubles running PT3 (test account) with pokerstars via parallel desktop. It is possible to manually import the files, but not via the auto-import option. "Unable to launch auto-import for site: PokerStars. Reason: Unable to monitor PokerStars directory: ......"

Do you know of any instruction guides on how to set up the import. (maybe the trouble lies with the file selection??....)
thanks for your help.... I am very keen on the MAC-version of PT3.....

Take a look at the PokerStars Configuration Guide - it sounds like you don't have PokerStars set to save hand histories or that you do but PT3 doesn't have the directory set correctly on the PokerStars Configuration tab.

What do you mean?
When you buy PT3 there isn't a time limit so your license shouldn't expire.
You can always look up your code in My Account > Registration Codes.

That is absolutely right.... I got my registration number again, and can therefor activate my account again. THX

nevertheless I still wasn't able to figure out how to connect pokerstars on MAC to PT3 on XP. As I said, I sucessfully imported several times the date manually. the only problems I have is with the Autoimport.

I found an instruction in another forum, but wasn't able to follow them all the way, as I am not that familiar with database config. The way it is written it sounds very complicated. It might be that I screwed up some of my setting as a result of my tries already....

Those instructions should still work properly - how far along in them are you able to get?

I was able to install the postgreSQL.
In Parallels I changed the settings.
The next part starts to make troubles. I type ifconfig in terminal on my mac. Unfortunately I can't find the IP address that matches the one in parallels. The last number is different and the entry doesn't look like "en5" or so but "vnic1". In my apple under system preferences -> sharing. I wasn't able to turn on Internet Sharing for this interface "vnic1".

Any ideas what I did wrong or what I could do differently?
Thanks.....

Could you paste the output from ifconfig here so that I can see it?
