repository for statistical analysis

Postby htl78 » Wed Dec 23, 2009 4:45 pm

Is there a place within the forums that has been created for a repository for statistical analysis within PT3?

Is anyone posting their detailed results for conversation?

Nobody has really been doing that to date. If you want to start a thread for it, please feel free to and I'd be glad to contribute my thoughts on your analyses.

Here is a sample worksheet I created where I break down win rates for hands played to date. These stats are based on a full ring limit game and compares BB/100 along with $$/100.

If more people are get interested, I can relocate the file to allow for more downloads.

Here is a sample worksheet from stats I pulled out of the positions section of PT3. I have attempted to breakdown stealing the blinds play with various filters. Once again, this is based on a full ring limit game.

With regards to your first PDF, your sample size is very small. As a result, I don't think you're getting entirely accurate numbers; A4s is not a better hand than JJ. What limits were these hands taken from?

With regards to your second, I'm not sure what sorts of comments you were looking for.

The stats are from 1-2, 2-4, and 3-6. I agree the sample size is small. Gotta start somewhere.

As for the 2nd file, I just looked at some detail when stealing blinds. It was something I looked at one afternoon and rather simple. Curious to hear or see what other people look at when they steal blinds. IE, does it all come down to win rates or what value are people finding in other statistics.

I have another win rate summary with various filters applied. Of the filters, I expect some to lose no matter what, but others seem questionable. IE, 3bet opportunity and calling on the flop.

These filters apply to a full ring Limit game with stakes 1-2, 2-4, and 3-6.
