PT3 Beta 30.7 Hangs during startup

Hi there,

After having problems with Pokertracker 3 build 5.2 (system freeze-up after about 30 minutes) I decided to try the Beta version 3.00 beta 30.7.
However, PokerTracker does not start at all now; the splash screen shows, cpu is 100%, nothing else happens; I have to kill the application with the task manager.

Please help! I cannot use PokerTracker anymore now...

All suggestions are welcome

PS:
- Firewall has not been a problem; I can find both outbound and inbound rules (allow) for Pokertracker
- Running 'as administrator': no difference
- No log-file found
- Pokertracker does not show its own icon in the task manager, but the 'default application'-windows icon

There is a known problem when updating to Beta 30.7 from Build 5.2. It is rebuilding your cache - it shouldn't force this at start but this is something that needs to be done anyway, so please start it up and let it run; it shouldn't take more than an hour or 2 unless you have a really big database.
This is fixed for the next release but it will only happen once.

I had this problem last night and let it run for over 12 hrs. I had to end the program this afternoon.

How big is your database?

If you install Beta 30.5 and run it once then update to Beta 30.7 again it should avoid the startup delay.

yeah I usually run it every sunday so I'll be doing that after this weekend

Started Pokertracker, went to bed and the next morning it was running!
Did some housekeeping, which took an hour or so, and now everything is running fine.
