PT2 : Error importing Carlos hands. Unable to get game date

Postby iparout » Sun Apr 06, 2008 11:11 am

Hi.

I am using PT2 version 2.17.01g and, all of a sudden, I can;t seem to be able to import Carlos xml hand histories. I get the error : [byen]Unable to get the game date for game #919967433...$2.00[/byen] for every single hand. I checked my regional setting and they are all good. I hadn't changed anything from the last time the import was working (the 28th of March that was).

How to proceed from here ?

Thanks a lot for any help.

P.S. : Error log together with HH xml files were sent to pat for further research, if needed.

Just a quick note. Amazingly enough, the xml files written on disk while playing at the tables, have no problem when imported. The HH that appear to be problematic are the ones written on disk when you request them through the HH page of the carlos client !

That's strange because the format should still be the same. I'll take a look into the files tomorrow and reply back.

I really sorry about this but I don't know if I'll get a chance to look at this today. I'm dealing with some personal issues and just trying to keep my head above water doing forum and email support. I will try to look into this as soon as I can.

There are so many formatting differences between this type of file and the file you store on your hard drive. I don't know why that is but it's going to take me a while to work through it.

I don't think it only happens to me, does it ?

If you have an account on an iPoker site, you could check it out yourself.

And, BTW, will updating PT2 with the patch here : viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2899

fix my issues?

I haven't done so yet because the HHs are prior to April 9.

iPoker does not allow US players, I have no way of testing any of this.

I have not had any other users report that they can't import the hands that were requested through the HH page. PT is coded to handle both types of hands and this has worked in the past regardless of where the hands were obtained from. So this site, for some reason, formats them differently. It's also very possible that most people don't use the manual request option because the site automatically stores the hands so there isn't much need to manually request them.

I don't know if this site has updated their software to the new ipoker format.

I will work on supporting this format, I was just saying it's not some simple thing that I can fix with one or two lines of code.
