Postby wheels7271 » Wed Aug 11, 2010 8:27 am

I have been trying for 3 days now to get poker tracker to work, but no luck what so ever. I have downloaded PT3 anlong with PostgreSQL 8.4. I am using a quad core vista machine. Once i open pt3 and i see the configure PostgreSQL server box, i try to connect but i get the following message....

UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THIS DATABASE. PLEAE CHECK CONFIGURATION

here are the details i am tryin to use to connect ( they are defualt ) Server: localhost Port: 5432 Database user: postgres password: dbpass

I have already tried completly turning the firewall off and running the as the administrator but again no luck, i have tried searching the forum but found no solutions that work, contacted support but only had 1 reply in 3 days, so i am stuck. could anyboys please help??????

Click Start, type in services.msc and hit enter. In the window that appears locate the PostgreSQL service. If it's not there you'll need to reinstall PostgreSQL as explained on our documentation page. If it's there and won't start, go into Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer and click the Applications folder at the top left. Look in the top middle pane for any errors relating to PostgreSQL. Double click those errors and paste the error text here.

Enter and Return are the same. If it's not working properly for you you can Stop Service and Start Service afterwards instead.

SEarching in the FAQ i did find and tried this from u :
"Press ctrl+alt+del and click Task Manager. On the Processes tab locate and end any PokerTracker.exe processes you may find. Restart PT3 and try using the password 'postgrespass' (no quotes) and see if that works for you.

AN ITS WORKS !!!!
