Glad to see you have it working now, but if you get errors during the import please attach the hand history file to a Support Ticket so that we can see where the error comes from and see if it is something which needs to be fixed in PT4. Since iPoker hands are in xml files you'll need to compress the files before attaching them.

Hi WhiteRider,

Ok, here's my question. As mentioned earlier, I have 2 Hand History folders on 2 partitions on my HDD. To cut a long story short, I played on iPoker on my XP partition but have now moved over to Windows 7 and set up the same account again there, obviously creating newer, duplicate folders on the partition. I imported both folders on the initial set up of PT4 and everything seems to be showing fine.

My question is this, with both folders initially set up ok, and with only the Windows 7 folder being the current active hands folder, am I supposed to set only the Windows 7 folder as the import folder in the 'Configuration' tab? Because every time I start PT4 and click 'Get Hands While Playing', it starts the entire import process again every time, which takes about an hour?! I'm pretty sure that this is not right? So, again, the XP folder only contains older hands which are showing and still very important, while the Windows 7 folder is the current active folder. I hope you follow? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You need to move the old hand history files out of the folders being imported from.
"Get Hands While Playing" should do that for any files it has read when you stop it (make sure that 'Move Processed Files To' is enabled in Configure > Sites & Import Options > Preferences) but to avoid having to re-read all the files again it will be better to just move them yourself using Windows Explorer.
The default location to move them to is the 'Processed' subfolder of the folder which is opened by File > Open User Data Folder.

The Tutorial: Preventing Duplicates was written for PT3, but the same logic applies, although the folders are different.

Excellent,

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll make sure everything is configured as you have instructed and get back here if there are any further problems.

Much appreciated

Ok,

Everything seems to be working fine now. All I did was to remove the older folder from the configuration setup and left the current folder as the one to read from. The hud showed up and life is good! The only and final problem I have is that the huds on different tables aren't under the correct players. I like to sit in the same position on all tables, top left. Is there any way to select a fixed seating position for the iPoker network within PT4? Once I've got this sorted out I'll be a happy man! Let me know when you can.

Thanks a lot

"Sit me here" is not supported because we do not know where you are being shown, but if you use their Auto Center option then you can enable the matching option in PT4 by right clicking iPoker in the site list and choosing Configure.
