Couple of questions and stat requests

Hey PT4 team!

1st I'd like to thank you! You are doing amazing job supporting your customers and your software. I'm sure it's the way to go. Used HM1 for 3 years and though that it was far better than PT3. But now there is no way I'm working with that s**t htey have released and sold ppl.

2nd I haven't found any info on folowing stats, plz help make my transition:

1) what is the difference between:
- call steal / call LP steal
- att steal / att steal LP
- call / cold call stats
- PF open / PF 2bet (u have stats 3B vs CO/BTN open and 3B vs CO/BTN 2-Bet and dont have any Opens for other positions. that is very confusing)

2) what is:
- probe bet
- float bet
- PFR - Legacy edition

3) You have Fold vs CO/BTN open ut have only Call vs CO open. I really need Call vs BTN Open. Any chance to get this stat?

4) Didnt found 3bet/4bet IP/OOP stats. Are you planing to release them?

For the record, if you click Configure --> Statistics you can click on any stat and read the detailed description and it will explain in considerable detail how the stat is calculated.

To answer your specific questions: A steal is an open raise from the cutoff, button or small blind. An LP Steal does not include the SB hands in its calculation. So Call LP Steal is when you call an open from the button or cutoff. Call Steal includes calling in the BB when the SB Opens. I think Att to Steal LP vs Att to Steal is now obvious

A Call 2Bet is any call of the first raise. A cold call is specifically when you have no money in the pot. So if EP opens and you call on the button, you called cold. If you called in the SB or BB you did not. Also, limp/calls are not cold.

An Open is the first raise in the hand with no other players having entered. A 2Bet is the first raise whether or not other players have entered. So for 6max an EP Open and EP 2Bet are going to be identical - there can't be any previous limpers. Similarly for MP the numbers are going to be very close - that's why we only used the open/2bet difference for late positions and the blinds.

A probe bet is a bet out of position after the person who could have cbet the prior street failed to do so. A float bet is a bet in position after the player who could have cbet that street did not do so.

PFR - Legacy uses the number of hands as the opportunity value. With the regular PFR in PT4 we now use the hands that you could have actually raised as the opportunity - this gives us a more accurate value. If someone open shoves in front of you and you can only call or fold, PFR should not go down as a result.

The lack of Call vs Button Open was an accidental oversight on our part and we will get it added.

You forgot to answer about 3/4 Bet IP/OOP stats. What about them?
+ I wonder if there is any way to make PT4 show hands in XX.Xk instead of XX,XXX? It takes more space in HUD than is needed to process the info since there is no difference between 25 155 and 25k hands.
Can u give link to the guide for making custom stats?
Are u going to add links to replayer in notes made by notetaker like in notecaddy in HM2?

We have Fold to PF 3Bet After Raise IP/OOP - other in/out of position 3bet and 4bet stats may be added eventually if there is enough demand, but you could build them as custom stats right now regardless of whether we do that.

The PT3 custom stat guide is here. A PT4 version has not yet been built - the theory is generally the same, though some of the pieces are now displayed a little differently and the database columns have been renamed. Starting there will still provide you with very useful basic information.

We may eventually add features like the replayer links but we are currently focused on improving stability with an eye towards a commercial release. Almost any feature that large will not be added now until after that point (obviously we make some exceptions - for example with Zoom).

1 more request. can I somehow change the note icon? It is not bright at all, if u dont look hard its imposible to tell if it has a standard color or a color mark. I know they look nice but the main idea with the color notes is to make them as vilisible/readable to an eye as possible. Remember Stars got small colored notes? now they have awesome color halos around avatars. At least u can make them like in HM1 or somthing.

With PT4 stopped you could replace the PNG file for the note icon with a note icon image of your own choice (just keep the same name) and that would accomplish what you want. We have some plans in the pipeline eventually that should address your concerns but I don't know at this point when we will be getting to them. Our first concern right now is stability and bug fixes so that we can proceed towards a commercial release.

1. Buy it again and get PT4 for that price
2. Upgrade existing PT3 to PT4 on release?

Pricing information for PT4 hasn't been released yet, but I'm assured that the upgrade fee will be very affordable and I would expect the upgrade to be significantly cheaper than the current purchase price.

2 more plz!
1. Does PT4 calculates rake for PS correctly?
2. I guess "Effective stack" filter means the smallest stack between me and the villain(s)? If yes, than it doesnt work correct. Are u aware or I should include HHs or something?

(1) As far as we are aware. But we do have four different calculation methods - for PokerStars you probably care most about Rake Contributed - as that's the value used to derive VPPs. Rake Attributed is how much was taken from pots you won (ie - also known as winner take all rake). Rake Taken was just how much actual money was taken out of the pot (regardless of who played). Rake Share is based on an even split of rake money between players - it was what used to be used to calculate VPPs.

(2) Yes that is how it should work. If you could submit a hand history that imports improperly via our support system we would appreciate it.
