That's a good idea, thx. ;) I'll try importing only cash game tomorrow, then we'll see.

Yes, MTTs will slow things down a bit because there is a lot more to do as well as import the hands.
I suspect (although I don't have any figures to verify this) that Zoom hands may import a little slower too since each subsequent hand has different players so information is being added to different parts of the database for each hand, meaning Windows' caching won't be so efficient.

Okay, I created a new DB and imported 743000 hands in a little more than 4 hours at 49 h/s. I guess that's okay?

Unfortunatly there were more than 46000 errors. Is there a way for me to check what went wrong? Are all of those hands now missing in my db?

If an error is reported we do not partially import the hand - the error means the hand could not be imported. Could you attach a couple of these files to a support ticket so that we can look into these errors and their cause for you?

I requested my complete hand histories from pokerstars and they were delivered in 43 files. Which one should I attach? And isn't there a logfile I can look into? The import errors must be logged somewhere right?

PS: I take it 49 h/s is a "normal" speed?

Zip one of the larger ones up and send it to us via our support system and we'll see if there are errors in it. 49h/sec sounds reasonable depending on the specs of your system.

I have the same problem with PT4 and PostgreSQL 9.1. Import speed is about 100 - 60 h/s, and is was 400-300 with PT3 and older version (8.3) of PosgreSQL. The data folder is on SSD in both cases.
Can if be besause of PostgreSQL 9.1? Should I try to install version 9.0?

All the same with PostgreSQL 9.0.8. PostgreSQL was optimised, data on SSD, PokerStars FL cash hands, intel dual core 3GHz, 4 GB RAM, Win7 64 bit.
And about 70 h/s import speed :(

We do not support PostgreSQL 9.1 because it can cause database corruption. 9.0.8 is the most recent version that you should be using.

Are these played hands that you're importing? Did you export them from PT3 or PT4?

Yes, almost all of this hands were imported and moved to the processed folder by the PT3, few - by the PT4.
