PT3 for Mac and FTP: tournaments results

Postby gfadel » Tue Nov 06, 2012 5:02 pm

Hello,

Is PT3 (mac) supporting the FTP tournaments results (if any)? I played one tournament on FTP, got ITM, but the results were not imported to PT3 database.

thx,

Gustavo

New FTP is not yet supported in PT3 - some things work slightly but most things do not work across the board. We will be working on a fix and expect a new version of PT3 in 2-3 weeks to address these problems.

Hello,

I have installed the latest Beta 3.13.12, and the tournament results are still not working fine (not sure if this was supposed to be fixed or not). Anyway, I will just list my experience so it can be checked at your side:

1) Tournaments types:

Tournaments are now being detected correctly (MTT Turbo Multientry, MTT Multientry, etc).

2) Mutientry Tournaments:

The buy in for multientry tournaments is shown as a single entry, and the additional entries as rebuy. This leads to wrong results, since the rake will be calculated incomplete. For example, a multientry tourney for $1.10, where 2 entries are used, should have as buy-in $2, and rake $0.20, no rebuys. The way it is working now it is showing buy in $1, rake $0.10 and 1 rebuy for $1.10. Not correct, since the missing rake will break the FPP point calculation.

Also the number of player is inconsistent, not matching the right number, for some cases.

3) Tourmament results:

The tournament results are not being imported fine every time. For single entry tournaments it was ok, but for multientry it mixed up information from previous tournaments (prizes, for example), and sometimes used "crazy" data, not related to anything. The final position is being marked as the position of your last entry, which is ok from my point of view.

Anyway, thanks for the new Beta, which at least fixed the hands importing.

cheers,

Gustavo

Please attach the hand and summary from (3) to a support ticket so that we can look into the results issues.

Regarding (2), our rebuy code in PT3 is limited compared to what PT4 can do, but once you send us the tournament and summary we will look into what we can do for you here.
