Import datamined hands into PT3 DB

Postby Godlike » Tue May 13, 2008 3:11 am

Hi!

I started to import my observed hands from Titan poker (About 700.000 hands) from HH i have stored.
In PT2 it works fine, but in PT3 i selected my observed DB as active and started manual import.

What are all those "duplicates" ?? He found out of 700.000 hands about 60% of hands as duplicates and another 5% as errors,
while at PT2 all of those hands were imported sucessfully, so i end up with about 200.000 hands that are ok. What the heck happend with other 500k hands :o

I also do not see option to move processed files on manual import, or did i miss it ?

Thank you for all answers.

Oh forgot to mention that even my played hands miss huge chunks of HH while importing into PT3.

I imported 134k hands of my played hands and in PT3 i ended up with 118k hands, others were mostly duplicates and some errors.
While in PT2 i have from same files 134k hands.

HH are from pokerstars, partypoker, titanpoker and a few from cdpoker. From which all are supported already in PT3.

Why is that ?

Duplicates are hands that are already in the database.
Had you previously imported some hands from these sites?
Do you have hand histories from more than one source? e.g. playing on one computer and mining on another.

I created new empty database.
I have all HH on a single computer.
I play only on that computer so yes all HH are nicely stored.
I imported exactly same files with PT2 and then with PT3 and you can see resutls i posted above.

How can there be duplicates of hands in DB in like 60% of them, while PT2 from same files does not compain about anything. ???

Also i never duplicated any files etc. I keep things organized quite ok ...

OK, bit of testing required to identify the problem - we need to find which files/hands cause the duplicates.
Try creating a new database again and importing them one file at a time and when you first see duplicates identify the last file you imported.
Then create a new database and import the file you identified first. Now import the others one file at a time and see when you get duplicates again, note this file.
Once you've got 2 files, zip them and submit them to the Support system. Be sure to link to this thread in the Reference.
