Logitech Mouse Assignable Buttons Fail

Postby Hulegu2 » Wed Feb 13, 2013 5:48 pm

I'm using a Logitech M510 mouse with assignable buttons. I have assigned F1, F2, and F3 to buttons on the mouse to play more tables, faster. I play on the Winning Network. When I start the poker client, everything works. When I fire up PT4, the buttons still work. The instant I tell PT4 to "Get Hands While Playing," my assigned mouse buttons fail in the poker client. But, the buttons still work in Explorer and OpenOffice.

Does PT4 use F1-F3 in any way? When I hit the buttons, nothing happens.

Help! Ideas to try?

You need to make sure your poker client is being Run as Administrator (via right click -> run as administrator to start it up) and that should fix this problem.

Opened the client as Adminstrator, and the mouse programmed buttons failed to work. Opened normally and the buttons work - until PT4 fires up. Any other ideas?

If you click on a table (not on the Hud) then do the buttons work?

The buttons stop working without hitting a HUD. But, I had 5 or so tables open before turning on PT tonight. When I opened PT, the tables kept working. When I told it to Get Hands, I saw hand after hand importing and expected an immediate stoppage, but one last table worked. I saw HUDs start popping up, but not yet on the last table that worked. The next table had a HUD, and no buttons. It very well may be connected to the HUD.

Try making sure that the Logitech assigning program is running as Administrator then - if it didn't work when your program was launched as Admin it might just be that Logitech doesn't have the rights it needs.

Making progress now. Changed the properties of the Logitech software and PT so they both run as administrator upon start-up. (Logitech failed to work when poker client was adminstrator.) PT fired up the HUD and the buttons continued to work. Yeah! May be good to go.
