HUD not working in FT matrix

Got no help for this in the support service. Sent log as advised. Got a list of suggested solutions, among them that I might need to upgrade postgresql. But the link was dead/not functioning. When I asked support to give altermative links, I got no answer ... it is a couple of weeks ago ...
PT imports hands normally, but no HUD appears. Can anyone help?

The link given (this one) works fine for me - what happens when you right click that link and try to save the file?

YEs, this link worked, and I had it installed, BUT NOW PT 4 is not working ("unable to connect to database") ... Password: dbpass? So I am even worse off ...

.. and when I choose "continue anyway", I get "error connecting to the default database". And when I try to create a new one, I get "unable to create". Did it all go wrong?

Tried to reinstall. Do I select "install as a service"?

That sounds like a problem with the PostgreSQL service. Click Start and type 'services.msc' and open the Services window.
Do you see PostgreSQL in the list?
Is it started?
Can you start it?

If it is there but won't start check our Firewall Guide guide as security software can prevent PostgreSQL running correctly.

Otherwise, follow the appropriate guide here to fully uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL.

I had version 9.2 and saw that it is not supported for service. When I try to reinstall v 8.3 instead, password (dbpass, postgrespass) are not accepted. What is the correct password?

And should I mark "install as a service?"
