Trial not working if used beta?

Hi I'm trying to use the trial, but it won't log into the database - is it because I've used the beta?

The trial version locks out the option to make any database changes (while creating its own new db). You won't be able to access your old DB until you get the registration code.

You will be able to "start from scratch" and use the trial version.

Yeah, I ran into this too, bit of a bummer, seeing as I've already ordered PT3 through pokersourceonline.com and now I'm just waiting for everyone to send emails this way and that and eventually let me access my database again. This really should have been mentioned on the download site, so that before using the new version we could have exported all the previously loaded hands.

The problem is that the trial version won't start at all. I don't mind if it makes a new default database - but it keeps on saying that the password is invalid and won't start.

Sounds like you have the wrong password set for postgres. The default is dbpass. If this doesn't work, see:
How To: Remove PostgreSQL Password

Ok I changed the config file and reloaded the configurations. Now I get this message:

Unable to create PostgreSQL database: PT3 DB
Reason: Unable to login to database (template1). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

Is your PostgreSQL service stopped? Go to Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL -> Start Service and see if that resolves your issue.

I tried start service and it still doesn't work. Is there a way to reset the password to default? Should I reinstall postgresql?
