Error connecting to default database

Postby tryhardrfish » Mon Nov 11, 2013 12:40 pm

Today I tried HM2 and had to install postgreqsql 8.4 and it wouldnt work as long as I had 8.3 installed. Is it possible to have both 8.3 and 8.4 installed at the same time working?

I reinstalled postgreSQL and followed your guides but it still seems to not work, and I cant create a new database.

Notice "PostgreSQL v0.0.0" in the corner

thx

If you click New then Browse do you see any databases in the list? Depending how you did the reinstall they may no longer exist. . .

I didnt try that before making a new one and I thought they were stored in the pt folder  If I go to database management it just says invalid database when i try to set an old one to active.

If it's not listed in the Browse Databases menu then the databases no longer exist in PostgreSQL on your system and reimporting is definitely going to be the way to go.
