PT4 on OS X 10.11 El Capitan?

Postby tennishepcat » Wed Jun 10, 2015 1:15 am

I was wondering if anyone has tried PT4 on the beta OS X 10.11 El Capitan that was released by Apple this week, and if there are any known issues.

I know our OS X developer always tests on new version of OS X to make sure by the time of the main launch any issues are worked out. I'm not aware of any such issues but if anybody using the beta finds some, please do let us know.

I have the beta version of OS X El Capitan and it is not working.
I can't click on anything anymore on a table when HUD is active.
So when HUD is active I can't click on bet, raise, fold or anything else on the table.

Please enable logging via Configure -> Options -> Logging Enabled, restart PT4, reproduce this problem and then report it via our support system with the log file - that will help us figure out what is going on here and get it fixed for you. You can find that file by clicking File --> Show User Data Folder in the main PT4 window - the file we need is the text file called PokerTracker4 that is in that folder.

Yes, those should be downloaded and installed. PostgreSQL stores our database and its utilities are installed along with it.

Thanks. Once 10.11 reaches public beta and approaches the full release we will be making sure that everything works OK. These initial issues look like bugs in the OS I'm told; just as there were bugs in the early releases of 10.10 which caused problems like these. Hopefully Apple will get all of these issues fixed during their pre-release phase - if you haven't already it's probably worth you reporting your problems to them too.
