Invalid Deck Error

Postby wern8231 » Sat Jan 28, 2017 12:47 pm

I play ACR on a Mac and I often times will get an "invalid deck" error when importing hands. When I look at the hand history there is usually two players showing down the same hand, incorrectly, with one player being someone who folded pre-flop and had zero currency in the pot. Is there a known fix to this?

We reject invalid hand histories like this to avoid getting bad data into the database as that can cause significant problems. Unfortunately we do see some errors in the text hand histories that WPN write in their Mac version and hopefully they'll resolve these issues at some point. In the meantime you'll need to either request the correct histories from their support, or edit out the invalid information yourself, if you want to import them.

I'm having the same problem with ARC and "Invalid Deck" errors.

How do you edit the hand history so there's no error?

In my case, I can't spot the error in the HH.

The hands with the error will have more than one player listed as showing exactly the same hole cards in the summary section so you'll need to either delete that line or change the showdown entry to "does not show cards" instead.

Thanks. I see the error now.

But how do I edit the HH? I opened it through the "View Import Status" "Errors" section. But it doesn't seem to be editable there...

You'll need to use another program for that like TextEdit which should be in Applications or Utilities.

Still having trouble. Currently, the only place on my computer that I see a record of the hand history is in the processed hands folder. I can edit those processed hand logs, but that doesn't seem to solve the error in PT4. (The original hand histories seem to be deleted after the processed hands are created.)

Any ideas? Is there some way I could create a new hand history from scratch? Thx!

Those hands won't have imported into PokerTracker 4 at all because of the duplicate showdown cards in the hand history. You need to edit the hand history and then run a manual import (Play Poker -> Get Hands From Disk) on the edited file to import it into your database (you don't need to worry about the other hands in the hand history file because PokerTracker 4 will recognise those as duplicates and skip the import of hands that are already in your database).

The original hands are not deleted - they just get moved from your poker sites hand history folder to the processed folder.
