very strange problem with reports

Postby Cappella » Thu Jul 03, 2008 1:58 pm

I just noticed a very weird problem with reports, I have a "Holdem Cash Player Statistics" report, I have no filter just ask infos such as player name, vp$ip, pfr, hands, bb/100, $/100, win%, ...

Everything was working perfectly, I have about 45000 hands in my database. Today I check reports... and I see 116000 hands for myself in the report amount won is also multiplied almost by 3. It's like if the report was almost tripling my hands! However in General, hands, sessions, position and graphs tabs all is normal and it shows only stats about 45000 hands.

Has anyone ever seen this? the only thing I did yesterday evening is vacuum/cluster/analyse my database. After realize the problem, I did it again to see if it was the cause, but nothing changed, still see 116000 hands in the player report (not less, not more)

Any help would be great.

David.

Note: I just tried a "Holdem Cash Hand" report, and I exported all my hands, the number is around 45000 which is normal... so it seems to be only for the player report.

Another update: if in the filter I select "Filter on Active Player", then I get correct stats for myself. However if I uncheck it to have report for all players (including myself) it's all messed up again for myself.
I tried to create a new report, and it's the same.

Could it be a problem with the latest beta 14? I have to admit it was the first time for me to do reports since I upgraded.

When you uncheck the 'active player' filter, how many hands does it report for the other players?
Is this value different in the same way if you re-check 'active player' but select someone other than yourself?

What Statistic are you using to see how many hands are played - is it the standard stat, or a custom one?

If you can't work out what the issue is, please export your report and attach it to the Support system , and link to this thread.

Hi,

Stats for other players were unchanged, only mines were messed up... However today I checked again and it works normal like before! I was unable to reproduce that problem... very strange...

However I got into another problem. I set 2 filters : cnt_hands>100 (that is fine) then added #Total_AF#>4 and there I get a huge red sql query error. I tried just with #Total AP#>4 without the other filter it's the same, huge red sql error. Tried to export it to post it here, but the export don't show the sql error.

At the end of the query it shows "Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: Division by zero)"

Thanks,
David.

Do those filters 'validate' OK?
I think I've seen this problem with some stats, but I can't remember which exactly, though AF is possible since it does a division and it's possible for there to be a zero on the bottom of it.
Try a different stat (e.g. PFR) and see if it works OK. If you can establish that it's just Total_AF then please export your report and attach it to the Support system , and link to this thread.

It works with PFR. It also validates ok when I try to put AP, but when trying to get the report I get the error.
