Will there be a patch or, must we use beta 17? we need a solid solution for build 2

At this time, beta 17 is the patch. Besides the fact that beta 17 is a more recent version of the software than build 2 is, beta 17 contains more features (such as a HUD cache) and is generally much more stable than build 2.

You need to update to beta 17, as has been said several times in this thread.

Download and install PT3.
Beta 17 release notes.
