Also, I forgot to mention that I have tried loading PT3 with my firewall completely turned off and have the same problem.

Would it be worth trying to reinstall PT3 with the firewall turned off?

If you've tried it with the firewall turned off then it won't be that.

Have you still got the connection to that web-link disabled?

Where are you seeing this? This is our firewall for our web/database/application servers...

Should I be glad or scared that I'm not the only one having this problem? I had 3.03 running fine 2 nights ago and now it's hanging at the splash screen. Vista machine here. Maybe it's the fancy new splash screen? All of my virus and firewall protection is disabled and I'm still getting this.

I'm not the one who disabled res.poker-fw01.inetu.net. That was OP Josiah. However I am willing to check it it is disabled or not on my computer if you would tell me how to in simple terms.

I have come to the conclusion that my problem is not firewall related. The fact that task manager says my cpu is running at 50% while PT tries to load means that something is going on behind the scenes. Could it be that the PT program and the SQL database are trying to communicate but can't?

The only other thing I can think of is that I use both Holdem Manager and PokerTracker. I use HM for the HUD and PT for just generally looking over my stats, session reviews etc for its superior user interface. I Never run imports at the same time, generally I auto import with HM during play, then at the end of sesiion I stop HM autoimport and then run auto and manual imports with PT to get the hands. Anyway Is it possible that the new version of PT I installed for some reason is trying to access HM's SQL database rather that the orig PT SQL database. I don't even know if that makes sense but generally is there any reasons me using both would cause this problem?

Basically something has to happen here. I'm thinking if you guys can't think of anything new to try it might be worth uninstalling everything and reinstalling it. I realize you recommend not to do this but just leaving this problem as it is isn't really an option either.

Would be be possible to set up a teamviewer session or something ? any ideas welcome..

Can we downgrade to beta 18? At least that was working for me. Not being able to use a piece of software that I paid for is very frustrating.

Have you both sent log files to support to investigate?
There may be something simple wrong.

You can re-install Beta 18, but at some point you'll need to install a new version so we need to work out what your issue is so send your logs first - if there's something in PT3 we need to get it fixed.

When I try to manually enable logging I get the following message

"Windows cannot open this file: PokerTracker.cfg"

"To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it. Windows can go online to look it up auto, or you can manually selct from a list of programs trhat are installed on you computer"

What program should I use to open this? the web suggests Dynsite but I don't know anything about this program and am hesitant to download it. Should I and if I do is it easy enough to use or will I have to mess around with it all day?

The programs in the list it gives are just like wordpad, paint etc and don't know if those will work.

*also, I just reinstalled beta 18 and it works fine. but I am willing to reinstall build 3 and send you guys the logs once it is clearly explained to me how to do so.
