We're looking into the summary exporting; it used to work but tests have shown on our end it's not working either so we're going to get that fixed.

Joss,

If you do have further problems, please do submit those log files.

lol, it get better...

build 3 (running build 3) - no stars tournies exported...

build 4 with an imported build 3 db export (which has no stars tournie summaries) - stars tournies exported even though they're empty (i guess) - my brain hurts...

my next foray into the wonderful world of PT3 is to import a build 4 export (just hands) into a new build 4 db, enter just TWO (2) tournie results, one for each FTP & Stars manually, re-export, re-import in to yet another new build 4 db, and see if it remembers the tournies - lol

stay tuned...

Chroma,

It does appear there are issues in Build 4 where the export isn't exporting Stars summaries (even though it used to). We're not sure what happened and we are looking into it to get it fixed.

kraada,

appreciate you guys looking into it...

from my previous post you can see it is very confusing, because, suddenly build 4 is exporting stars tournie histories, albeit these are probably all not a lot of use seeing as there's no tournie data for them;

it was my old build 3 db running build 3 that didn't export stars tournies.

fyi, my process in the past has been to request the summaries from the stars client, then import them lock, stock and barrel - i can see now this is probably not such a good idea because i imagine the db suddenly explodes with a load of player results (which are mostly irrelevant to me)... i think i have roughly 40k tournie players when i import just hands, then nearly 500k when i wack the tournie summaries over the top... :o and i know you have the selective purge for "players w/o hands", but this just stalled on me for 3 hours when i first tried it.

i guess the efficient way forward is to just imput those results [manually] i need, this doesn't inflate the db; to take an example, if i'd played the stars world record tournie and came, say 1000th, i might just be interested in one stat; i.e., me, at the most half-a-dozen others - so to get this, i request the summary, import and bang, i guess i get 30,000 odd players in my db free-of-charge!!

maybe a way forward for you guys would be to offer an option on the manual import to select, maybe a basket of players for which the summary is imported, and disregard the rest???

There are plans to eventually only import results for players who have hands already in the database. This would at least get close to approximating what you're looking for.

breaking news...

build 4 - enter 2 tournie results: 1 Stars, 1 FTP, export (BOTH FTP & Stars tournie sumaries exported - albeit 99% with $0.00 for me as i only entered 2 results manually)...

build 4 re-import tournie summaries; both results come back fine, no bloat of db - way forward for me just now:

enter all tournie results for me and only me manually, then export all, pgbackup for safety's sake...

Well at least there's a way forward. Good luck and if there's anything I can help with, you know how to find me.
