I've just had word from the development team that this has been fixed for the next release.
I'm not sure when Beta 26 will be released but I would expect it to be some time this week.
Thanks for your help, brone.

I got a 2 questions concerning this thread:

1st: what are you exactly talking about mentioning <<<<< PT3: Texas Holdem => Cash game => General => Player Summary => Std Dev BB/100 (when you "Configure This Report") >>>>>
My problem is, I don't find any statistics about sd within pokertraker. My version is v3.00 build 4
Guess I got "bigblind"-eyes, but I really don't find it.
(see 9th post of this thread on page 1)
Looking for informations about sd was my reason for reading this thread.

2nd: I'm no mathematician but today I was reading very much about standard deviation. I also made some calculations in Excel by following the very usefull instructions of brone on the 2nd page of this thread.
{ [ (BB/100_for_session - BB/100_for_player)^2] * (H_for_session/100)}
My question is wether you are really sure that this is the right way of normalising the duration of the sessions Or would it be possible to put the "correction factor" into the brackets before squaring the difference?
{ [ (BB/100_for_session - BB/100_for_player)* (H_for_session/100) ] ^2 }

Build 4 is pretty old now, and the SD was added since then and corrected too.
Beta 28 was just released - please try that.

Download page
PT3 Build History / Release Notes

Please read the release notes as there have been some significant changes since Build 4.

oh perfect - I see

I never scrolled down to the beta-versions and the beta-status obvisously was the reason, that also the software itself never announced a new version.

when will beta-versions become a official new build-version (like build 5)

and is it common that everybody is working with the beta-versions?

Build 5 will likely come before any more beta versions at this point.

The longer it's been since a build was released, the more likely it is that there are many new features in the beta line with bug fixes to match. The more recently there was a build released the more likely it is that there are new features in the beta but that there may be bugs arising from those new features.

If you are running the most recent beta version you will get notifications of a new beta release.

So has this been fixed yet? I'm using Build 5.2 and my Std. Dev. stats are the same for all game structures on the General tab. Over on the Session tab, my Std. Dev. stats are showing a Std Dev/100 of $1 or 1 BB. In general thinks just seem a little wonky, any word on whether PT3 Std Dev stats are accurate?

The custom statistic that was built in a custom report that contains Standard Deviation was built improperly and you should not use it.

To see your standard deviation in Build 5.2 or newer, go to the Sessions tab, choose Sessions - Details from the drop down and you can find your standard deviation in the bottom pane there.

Which is no good either. It shows 1 big bet/100 regardless of the dollar amount that is shown right before that.
The SD/hour number seems to be closer to the truth but I don't use that anyway and too lazy to check if it's correct.
Also, when you click on any cell SD dollar amounts are shown as zero and there's no way to get the "all times" info other than hitting Refresh. Is this the expected behavior?

SD should be working on the Sessions > Details report.
Are you using Build 5.2 or Beta 29.1?
