Incorrect Session Profit - Summary

Postby hh101b » Mon Aug 25, 2008 12:13 pm

Hi,

I just completed a cash session on Party Poker.

All the hands have been imported and show a small profit of 56c if I add up the profits/losses on the Session Hands screen. The Positions screen also shows a 56c profit.

However, the session summary shows a loss of $2.09

How can I bring the summary into sync?

Thanks.

Did you have any import errors or crashes during the session? Are you having these inaccuracies if you clear your filters as well? Note the text in the bottom saying "These numbers may not match the above numbers, why?". If you click that, you will get the following message:

The Player Summary and Player Statistics numbers might not always match up, depending on the filters you have set.

Some filters, such as those that filter for individual hands, cannot be applied to the Player Summary report. This also applies to other tabs that show session statistics.

Does this seem to be the problem in your case?

Thanks for the note.

It's not filters...that I now for sure.

I did have some provlems during the session which may or may not have something to do with the fact that I was playing around with adding my party alias to my main Stars alias.

The auto import appeared to stall when I attached the alias, then restarted when I detached and reattached it.

There were some missing hands so I manually imported them from an emailed hand history.

Now I cant get the summary to agree to the total of the individual hands.

any more ideas?

Sounds like the scenario you explained above caused these issues. I'm afraid for now there's no simply way of correcting this. Selective purge is a high priority feature and will be added shortly, and then you can just purge the problematic hands and reimport them. Please keep an eye on the Development Timeline for updates on this. What version are you running btw? I think these issues should be resolved for Beta 15 as it's no longer allowed to add aliases while having an import running.

I am running Build 2

It's not the end of the world really....I'll just stop mucking about mid-session...at least it is only a small difference ($3)...and I have had a session since that worked perfectly.

Thanks.

You probably want to upgrade to Beta 15 anyway; it has a significant number of bug fixes since Build 2. You'll want Beta 15 without PostgreSQL as you already have PostgreSQL installed and don't need to (or want to) install it again.

Yes, you can.

And not only that, that's exactly how you should upgrade. :)
