Tax report

Postby kmasonbx » Thu Jan 28, 2010 2:30 am

I had an old query for PT2 that worked well but can't find one for PT3, I did see one but I can't get it to work. Can anybody help me out on how to make an affective tax report for PT3?

Pretty much I just need a report that shows my daily result for 09.

You can get that in monthly blocks on the Winnings > Winnings For Month report.
You can Expand then Export this report if you want to get the figures into Excel or something.

Cool I see that. Is there a way to show the amount bet each day, and from that the amount won in those bets and amount lost on those bets? This is actually the ideal way the IRS wants it, but if it can't be done there is nothing they can do about it. For example in a day you lost $500 it would show you bet a total of 19.5k, winning 9.5k in those bets but losing 10k.

That information isn't stored for sessions, which is what that report is built from, but you can do it in a custom report.
Try the attached report, and see if it gives you what you want?

You need to extract the file from the .zip attachment, then Import it to the Cash Games > Reports tab. Run it and see if it is what you need.

When I attempted to import the daily tax report after unzipping it I got this message:

"An unhandled exception occurred. Press "Abort" to terminate the program, "Retry" to exit the program normally and "Ignore" to try to continue.

What version of PT3 are you using?
It imports fine for me in Beta 29.1. Please enable logging, restart PT3 and do the import again then attach the PokerTracker.log file to a support ticket.

Configure --> Options --> Logging Enabled, then restart PT3.
