I installed pokertracker4 on my new Toshiba laptop it is windows 8 64 bit and it worked fine I had a problem with the computer and had to do a total system restore and when I install poker tracker again a keep getting a error message saying postgresql will not install

You can download the installer for the 64-bit version of PostgreSQL 9.0
here.
The manual install should work but if not please follow the directions in our
Documentation to fully uninstall and re-install PostgreSQL.

when I try to install postgresql 64 bit when I put in dbpass for password it says it is incorrect what should I do now?

I completely uninstalled postgres and when installing postgres I put in dbpass and it got passed that and then a couple of steps later i get problem running post-install step. installation may not complete correctly.
the database initalisation has failed

Did all of the previous steps complete successfully?
Click Start and type 'services', and open the Services window.
Do you see PostgreSQL in the list?
Is it started? Can you start it?

I tried completely uninstall then install 3 times then gave up then tried 8.4 version and got it to work is there a problem with the 9.0 version on windows 8?

Not that I'm aware of - PT4 installs PostgreSQL 9.0 by default so I'm sure it would have come up if there was. I suspect it is related to your previous installation somehow. If you want to look into this further please open a
Support Ticket with a link to this thread and one of our support techs will work with you to get things sorted out.
