TableNinja II Troubleshooting Guide

  • Overview

    If TableNinja II is not working properly, following one or more of the steps below may help resolve the difficulty. If none of these steps get TableNinja II working, please contact support either via the TableNinja II Help section in the forums or via our support website.

  • Disable 'User Account Control' (UAC)

    If you are running Microsoft Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8, it may be necessary for you to disable "User Account Control" (UAC) for TableNinja II to function properly.

    • Windows Vista
      1. Click your Start button and open the "Control Panel".
      2. Select "User Accounts and Family Safety.
        1. Note: This step can be skipped if in Classic View
      3. Select "User Accounts".
      4. Click "Turn User Account Control on or off".
      5. Uncheck "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" then click OK.
      6. You must now restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Once your computer restarts, proceed with your PokerTracker and PostgreSQL installation.

      Note: You may or may not be able to re-enable UAC. If you do re-enable it, make sure that you are running TableNinja II as an administrator as described above.

    • Windows 7 & Windows 8
      1. Click your Start button and open the "Control Panel".
      2. Select "User Accounts and Family Safety.
      3. Select "User Accounts
      4. Click "Change User Account Control settings".
      5. Drag the slider down to the bottom "Never notify" then click OK.
      6. You must now restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Once your computer restarts, proceed with your PokerTracker and PostgreSQL installation.

      Note: You may or may not be able to re-enable UAC. If you do re-enable it, make sure that you are running TableNinja II as an administrator as described above.

  • Run as Administrator

    TableNinja II always needs to be Run as Administrator in order to have the access rights it needs to set windows to be active, move windows, and send key presses and mouse clicks to your poker tables. TableNinja II should be set to Run as Administrator by default but if it this access has been disabled, you can re-enable it through the following steps:

    1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\PASG\TN2
    2. Right click on the tableninja2 application
    3. Click Properties
    4. Click on Compatibility
    5. Make sure there is a checkbox in the Run as Administrator box
  • Enable Aero Based Windows Theme

    TableNinja II functions at its best with a Windows theme that uses Aero. With other Windows themes TableNinja II may not function properly. Windows defaults to an Aero theme, but if you have changed to a non-Aero theme you will need to change to an Aero theme. To change to an Aero Based Windows Theme follow the following steps:

    1. Click on the Start icon or go to the Start Screen
    2. Type in Themes in the search box (in Windows 8, typing at the Start Screen will search automatically).
    3. Click on “Change the Theme”
    4. Scroll down to the “Aero Themes” section and choose any theme from this area.
  • Close UltraMon

    UltraMon is a utility for managing multiple monitor setups. TableNinja II is unable to function properly while UltraMon is running, and Hotkeys can malfunction. We recommend closing UltraMon whenever using TableNinja II at this time.

  • Close Other Third Party Software

    If TableNinja II is not running properly, please try closing all software other than your tracker, TableNinja II and your poker client.

    It is possible that other software may interfere with TableNinja II and prevent proper functioning. If you find a specific program that causes problems for TableNinja II, please report it via our support system so that we can investigate further and work to eliminate the source of conflict if it is possible.
