Postby Dirkvanb » Sun Apr 29, 2012 4:28 pm

Hi, Are you guys working on a sollution for a zoom hud on MAC ?
I see pokercopilot got a hud working for zoom tables, so guess it is possible.

No - Mac OS security prevents PokerTracker interacting with the PokerStars software as we would need to for full Zoom support.

That doesn't sound correct. I wonder what the difference is in your software vs. copilot who got it working? You can't say it's impossible when someone else has done it.

I don't know what implementation he is using, but I'm certain that our method is prevented by OS X.

We cannot speak for PokerCopilot's developers, but it appears that they are using an OCR method which the rest of the industry has all but abandoned due to inaccuracy of optical character recognition. We have been very public in condemning the use of OCR back when we first added the FullTilt RUSH HUD, our fast table HUD creation does not use OCR for any of the networks that we support this for such as Stars, Party (available soon), iPoker, and Full Tilt (assuming that Rush tables remain then they relaunch). Sadly we haven't found a workable method yet on OSX, perhaps in time Apple will allow developers to gain access to the level of detail needed to code a HUD for Zoom but as of right now it is not possible without an API from PokerStars. It should be noted that PokerStars is aware of this issue already.
