No I didnt! In the "How to" i used there was no mentioning that a backup had to be done. What to do now? Delete both 8.2+8.3 reinstall 8.3 and reimport hh's?

Thanks for super quick answering btw White. I really appreciate it.

Look here. It says specifically that the data will be preserved?

Uhhhh actually i did. I made a back up of the PT3 db to my ext hd. Can I restore it easily? Otherwise I might aswell get on with uninst/reinst, cause i need the program running a.s.a.p.

Hope for a quick answer, thanks.

The restore method is explained with the backup in the Database / Postgres FAQ - viewtopic.php?f=45&t=4098&p=56993#p56991.

The processing speed of PT3 is still causing me trouble.

I ran the tuning wizard, defragmented my drives, disabled last acces and legacy filenames. Still when playing 5 tables and PT3 set to autoimport hands, whenever the import process is active it takes so many ressources that the poker client is not reacting to fold, bet etc. i have to push multible times and when i push refresh in PT3 displaying only the stats of a specific date it takes so long that i almost time out.

I have a Pentium 4 3,2 Ghz and 2gbs of ram. My database is currently holding 550.000 hands.

Help, please :(

Have you also run Housekeeping to make sure the cache is up to date?
Experiment with the HUD Performance Level settings on the HUD Options tab and see if any of those help.

If you can't get it running faster, Please enable logging, reproduce the problem by playing a few hands on a single table and submit your PokerTracker.log and PokerTrackerHUD.log files (zip/compress them first, call it logs.zip) to the
Support system , and link to this thread in the reference field of the ticket so that we can investigate.
