After you installed it last time, did you "eject" the installer? If you don't do that you can end up with multiple installers mounted and that seems to confuse things? Yes I'm pretty sure I did this.
You already dragged PokerTracker to the Trash and reinstalled, didn't you? I reinstalled the older version but I didn't do anything with the first one.
Do you have PostgreSQL installed? This might be the problem. It didn't prompt me to download it like it did when I installed PT3 to my PC. How do I dl postgreSQL?
If you think everything is installed correctly please enable logging in the config file (method 3 in the linked tutorial) and run PT3 again, then attach the PokerTracker.log file to a Support ticket.
