Yes, if you're registered you can use the betas or builds.
If you install over the top (as opposed to uninstalling first) then if should retain your registration code.
Otherwise you can just re-enter your code.

Same for me.

I can take a while for the HUD to appear for large databases because the cache can't be used.
Please enable logging, open the replayer and leave it for half an hour or so and if it still hasn't appeared submit your PokerTracker.log file to the Support system , and link to this thread in the reference field of the ticket so that we can investigate.

You are joking!

I am supposed to be happy I have to wait half an hour to see the replayer stats? If I am reviewing hands I want to see them in seconds. Not sure what the sigificance of this is, but can we realistically expect the HUD to function on the replayer?

Just a general comment.

Why is PT so slow to load?

If I open PT3, although the splash screen appears in a few seconds, the program itself often takes 3 or 4 minutes, somtimes it just does not appear at all (even though Task Manager shows it is running). My laptop is not the fastest in the world but it runs Vista Basic pretty slick. There is not other program I use on my pc that takes even close to this amount of time to get busy.

If I am running another other application PT3 frequently doesn't show up at all.

SPECIFIC FOR THE BETA 25

2-3 times now PT3 has opened but the HUD does not and I have had to shut PT3 and re-open 4-5 times before the HUD works properly. This is intermittent, but def. was not the case before Beta25.

Slow response time is beginning to look like a feature of PT3, and a pretty frustrating one that just keeps coming back.

No, I'm not saying you should have to wait half an hour for the HUD, but we need to know whether it is slow to open or whether it isn't opening at all. A log file will show us what is happening.

Most of the startup problems we've seen have been to do with firewalls or anti-virus preventing postgres starting up. Try disabling them temporarily and see if it makes any difference (again, just as an experiment).
Again, if you continue to have problems send us a log file so that we can see what is happening.

I have default db 'PokerTracker 3 database'. There are many sites here and i want to separate hands, so I ...
1. Create new db 'FTP'.
2. Export hands (site ftp) from default db.
3. When i import hands to db 'FTP' i get many errors. (for examlpe: Invalid pot size/winnings for hand #8400906728 (Line #12597); Unable to import hand. Reason: Unable to execute query: COPY holdem_hand_player_detail FROM STDIN;; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: numeric field overflow DETAIL: A field with precision 9, scale 2 must round to an absolute value less than 10^7. CONTEXT: COPY holdem_hand_player_detail, line 87, column val_p_raise_made_pct: "375000000000.00" ) )
Why so?
If I do this for other networks (ongame, iPoker) there are no errors.

Hi!

I use PT3 and a friend uses HM and he showed me a nice feature i really miss in PT3! It's called "Player Analysis", it's like a second window where all players you're currently playing with at the tables appear in a list and detailed information about everyone of them. For example information like "high check/fold as preflop raiser" or "Very high preflop 4-bet" etc. etc. and a really nice feature where you can see the range he already 3-betted with for example or his coldcalling range.

Is something equal in your development plan for PT3? I really like PT3 but HEM is a really nice alternative.

sym,

How many Full Tilt hands are we talking about here?

crazypeter,

That does sound like an interesting feature, I'll look into it and make sure the suggestion reaches our development team.

"High check/fold as preflop raiser"... according to who? This kind of information is highly questionable. For one, how did they determine what a "good" check/fold as preflop raiser value is? Do they take into consideration different playing styles? There are, after all, more than one winning style, and they don't all match up exactly in various aspects. Do they take the number of players at the table account? What might be a high value at a 10 player table might be extremely low at a heads up table. These are just a few questions that need answered. Like I said, this information is extremely questionable, and I would hesitate to place any confidence in it at all.

We may provide something like this in the future, but it's going to have to be reliable information. We're not going to simply accumulate a large number of hand histories, look for the winners, then average their stat values and say that's what a "good" value is. Unreliable or misleading information is often less valuable than no information at all.
