paradigm24 wrote:First something like Flopzilla would be fantastic. As a mac user, this has always been one of the programs I have wanted the ability to use and seems like it would be a great feature to have while using the replayer.

paradigm24 wrote:The second thing that would be great would an easy method of finding and viewing hands that would help me in a current situation at the table. For example, lets say I'm raised on the flop by a villain after I cbet, I would like an extremely fast way of pulling up all hands in which that villian has raised a cbet. Ideally, clicking on a raise cbet stat in my hud for that player could take me to a screen with an overview of those hands comprising that stat (including the board, raise amount, and what happened after). This type of split second information would be fantastic.

Although it is a good idea, this request is outside of the scope of the vision for PT4. Combinatorics is a fascinating sub-topic of poker analysis, but for now this need is best filled as a third party app.

paradigm24 wrote:Lastly, I saw on HEM2 they are coming out with a dark skin for the entire program. Thought it looked nice and is something you should consider.

I can assure you that our skinning and customization capability exceeds that of the current HM2 beta in the areas where it counts - all decks, replayers, & HUDs. We did not include an app skinning interface because we felt it would not be the best use of our developers time, we need to keep them focused with their eye on the prize - delivering the best tracking application that was ever created, rather than creating interfaces for changing the colors of window frame. We don't want PokerTracker to become bloated with silly features - PT4 will be a lean, mean, poker playing machine!

I was just about to buy SitNGo Wizard when I saw the new preview movie about the ICM & Equity calculators in PT4. Is it me or does PT4 support about any function that SNG Wiz has? (If it does that would simply be great since I'm eligible for a free upgrade.)

Hey guys, will we be able to see how a bunch of players (at the same report, w/o needing to change current player) react to different steal sizes (for example) ?

As you know we have an ICM Calculator built into PT4 at no additional cost, but we cannot comment on the features that SNG Wizard as we do not develop their application. My advice - wait until the beta comes out and then discover for yourself. You will be pleasantly surprised how advanced our ICM calculator is, I have been told it exceeds the functionality other popular ICM applications in many ways - plus you dont have to pay extra for it!

Please send me a PM with a details explanation of your vision, using examples of existing tools if at all possible. We will look into this, thanx!

Hello! Add to please HUD Hand History button "Copy Board". She had very help when writing notes. And what would she arrange to copy the board (for suited and in strength). For example:

2d5sAd => Ad2d5s
2d5sAc => Ac5s2d
QsKc6d 4c 9d => KcQs6d 4c 9d
QsKs6s 4s 9s => KsQs6s 4s 9s
etc.

It would be very nice if this board I see the images in your notes!

It is not available yet, once the beta becomes available we will make an announcement - and the download will be easy to find.

You can already copy formatted hand histories in PT3, this feature will be improved in PT4 however the reordering of board cards you suggested will not be included. Select Show Hand History from the HUD menu to open the Hand Viewer. click the Copy to clipboard button as shown in the image below. You have the ability to copy the hand in a format that is compatible with vBulletin (2+2's standard format), plain text, or rich text (Miscrosoft Word's format) as shown in the image. Although this copies the entire hand, all you have to do is remove the text that you do not need such as this:

Flop: ($0.37, 2 players) 5:heart: 4:spade: 4:heart:

here is the actual code used to create the board:

Code: Select all
Flop: ($0.37, 2 players)  5:heart: 4:spade: 4:heart:

The majority of our users want the order of the board cards to remain as they are shown by the poker room, we agree that is the wisest choice, therefore we will not include the ability to reorder the cards by rank. The pasting of images in notes is not scheduled for the release version of PT4, but it is an idea we can consider for the future if there is enough interest and the majority of our users would benefit, we welcome all ideas - thanks for submitting yours!!!

Yes, I know about the fact that you can copy the entire history of hand. I was talking about just copying the board. For quick entry in the notes. The faster I can do it, the more mnya have time to rest.
I think the idea of cards with pictures in your notes please everybody. After all, if a lot of notes, it is much easier to read. If you do it will be easier, instead of pictures, you can use colored symbols (black, red, blue, green).
For example:
AT5 4 6
765 8 9

Or at least add the ability to select the color of the text in your notes.
You can create a user survey.

I have noted your board copying idea, its an interesting request that we will talk about internally once time allows us to consider your proposal. On the other hand I can confirm that text coloring in notes will not be added in PT4. We will however include basic font modification tools such as bold, underline, and italics but that is all we wish to provide at this time; we want to avoid bloating the application with features that have the potential to distract you from your in-game experience. The basic rule we follow is that if it requires too many clicks while your playing poker, then it shouldn't be included in PT4. Our goal is to make your playing and tracking simpler, once PT4 is released we hope you agree that this is the best development policy to take!

I completely agree with making the non-play actions as simple and efficient as possible. One thing I find myself spending quite a bit of time of when it comes to note-taking in-game, is writing out boards and showdowns. I've developed my own shorthand that works for every situation. Since these can be read out of the hand histories, standardizing this might be worth considering.

Introducing a standard shorthand also eliminates confusion between different methods of notation that are currently in use.

For instance villain triple barrels from AdTs CO vs a BTN player at the following board: Jc Td 7h 2h 7c. This can be replaced by the following shorthand: bbb ATo @ JT7rx7 [co/btn]

Other examples can include a flop with a flushdraw Jh Th 4c: JT4f
Rainbow flop Jh Tc 4d: JT4r
Mono-tone flop Jh Th 4h: JT4m

Various lines in shorthand:

Triple barrel: bbb
Checkraise flop, bet turn, shove river: xrbs
Bet flop, check turn, bet river: bxb
Bet flop, check turn, bet river half pot: bxb(hp)
Bet flop half pot, check turn, bet river pot: b(hp)xb(p)
Check flop, check turn, bet river (in position): xxb (IP)
Check flop, donkbet turn, donkbet river (out of position): xdd
UTG vs BB: [utg/bb]
Squeeze/fold preflop from BB vs a CO opener and BTN caller : sq/f [co/btn/bb]
Check/fold flop in 3bet pot, SB vs BTN, at Jh 7h 4d: 3b, xf @ J74f
Check/fold turn in 3bet pot, SB vs BTN, at Jh 7h 4d 2c: 3b, bxf @ J74f2

When the hand is being reviewed during play, a button or hotkey can be assigned to copy the appropriate shorthand to the clipboard or to the note window. Something like this can work for PLO as well.
