Still not sure why you're getting the error but try deleting this directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\TourneyLuck

Mmmmh in Vista C:\Documents and Settings\....... doesn't exits (that seems the xp structure for the applications data).
I've tried on C:\Users\<my user name>\Application Data\...

but I can't find the TourneyLuck folder there.
I've also tried searching all the TourneyLuck folders, but I've only found the folder where I've extracted the software.

HoldemLuck/TourneyLuck v0.12: Feature Request

Postby ebh0 » Sat Jan 10, 2009 8:17 pm

Great app, alonalbert.

I don't know if your app is the right place to put this, but it's luck-related and it looks like you have the data... I've often wondered how lucky I've been in getting cards in a tourney. I'm talking about starting hands. Am I getting my fair share of good starting hands; am I getting too many bad starting hands. Am I right that I was card-dead in that last tournament? And so on.

Some choices would have to be made as far as hand rankings go -- is Sklansky-Chubukov the one to use? -- but once you've made that choice it seems all you need to do is make a lookup in a lookup table, calculate percentages at the end, and compare to expected frequencies.

Although I'm probably missing something.

Hi. My PT3 name on start up was my PStars name + FT and party as aliases. I havn't used stars for ages now and just changed my main PT3 name to my party name and only added FT as an alias. I have done housekeeping and re booted, but tourneyluck isn't picking up any recent sessions (just picks up a few old stars games)

How do I update my profile that it reads from - THANKS!

It should be picking it up automaticaly when you restart it. It should start calculating hands all over againsince hands are indexed by player id.

New Build - 0.13 - ICM

Postby alonalbert » Wed Jan 14, 2009 7:56 pm

New version contains a couple of bug fixes and a new ICM line in the graph:
  • Was not taking into account dead cards in side pots. I found this bug when I was all in with a set of 3's against 2 players holding QQ each :) This requires a full recalculation to effect old hands.
  • App now looks at 64 bit registry for PT3 install dir.
Some notes regarding ICM.
  • I can only calculate ICM for STT's and I need to know their prize structure. For this reason, I only calculate ICM for "SnG (1 Table)" and "SnG (6 Max)" (Now that I think about it, I could also add (2 Max) I guess). I assume prize structure to be 50/30/20 for full table and 65/35 for 6 max. I'm not sure if this includes Turbo STT's or not.
  • The ICM graph displays the difference only between the expected ICM and the actual ICM for the given pot. For example, in a $5 6 max STT, the prize pool is $30 and 1'st place takes home 65% or $21.50, if your expected ICM is $8 and your actual ICM is $0 because you lost and busted out, your ICM value on the graph will be -$8.
  • I haven't added columns for ICM in the hands list yet.
  • I haven't tested much so I need you guys to keep me honest. Don't take results for granted. Help me find bugs.
  • The first time you run this, it'll detect that you haven't done ICM yet and recalculate all your hands. This will take a while so be patient.
  • I already see some interesting results for example, i could have a hand where I am all in as a 30% underdog but my ICM luck chart drops a lot. I was surprised by this at first but then I realized that it was a bubble hand and even my 30% equity in the pot gave me a high expected ICM value by doubling me into 2'nd place while loosing the hand dropped me to zero because I was knocked out.

Hi again,

HL was working fine here till I decided to change my default database.

My old PT3 database was getting kinda big so I decided to start a new one today. After a couple hands, I've created another DB and imported into it, made it default and active.

Problem is, when I start holdemLuck now it opens the config screen and after that it gives me a message that the default PT3 database cannot be loaded.

When I unckeck the autoconfig option and fill the details it does work, but if I want to keep checking several databases, instead of just altering the default PT3 database I need to fill the database names on HL every time (note that I still need to chance the hero alias on PT3, so it works with the right hero, so it does not save me the time of loading PT3 as well).

Any thoughts on why the default PT3 database configuration is not working when I change dbs?

Nevermind on the previous post...I got it to work.... Can someone explain to me what the Tournament Dollars 10^3 means and the -1.0 , -.5 etc means.....lets say these all ins were all from the $25+2 9man turbos.....and that my actual was at +.5.......what would this equate to in actual $ Dollars.....that would help me understand more how this works...

Appreciate any help.

Thanks,

From the graph, it seems you have no tourneys that qualify for ICM calculation. I only calculate SnG (1 Table) and SnG (6 Max) table types.
