I don't know if your app is the right place to put this, but it's luck-related and it looks like you have the data... I've often wondered how lucky I've been in getting cards in a tourney. I'm talking about starting hands. Am I getting my fair share of good starting hands; am I getting too many bad starting hands. Am I right that I was card-dead in that last tournament? And so on.
Some choices would have to be made as far as hand rankings go -- is Sklansky-Chubukov the one to use? -- but once you've made that choice it seems all you need to do is make a lookup in a lookup table, calculate percentages at the end, and compare to expected frequencies.
Although I'm probably missing something.
I second this. Reviewing starting hand probabilities and actualities seems in a similar realm. I know there was a program written called LuckMeter that would do this for earlier versions of PokerTracker, but not PT3. My most common starting hands in my cash games are (in order): 54o, 52o, 42o, 83o. Seems a bit skewed, doesn't it? 54o currently appears 2.27% of the time, when it should be around 0.90%. My sample size is small (625 hands), but it would be nice to have a program do analysis on this. Excellent applications, btw!
