Have you updated the cache on all of your databases? Database --> Housekeeping, highlight all databases, have all 4 housekeeping actions run and see if that helps; if you have one uncached database it can slow things down considerably.

Check your Task Manager. What processes are using the CPU and how much are they using?

I have clicked purge and it just sits there with an hourglass? Is it locked up or is if eventually going to actually purge the damn thing. This is really aggravating. After hours of housecleaning I get a cockamamie error message. I am told to purge and start over and now I get an endless hourglass.

Purging a database of that size may take a couple hours, depending on your computer specs.

Thanks for the response. Yes it did finally purge. Reloading a million hands again. If I get another gobbledygook error message after hours of reloading the database I am gonna freak. Well think positive I guess... so far so good.

I just open pt3... no table open, and 11 postgres is open... why? beta 15 working fine for me and now it's just impossible to play my game.

There will always be multiple postgres processes, this is how postgres works.

Have you tried the performance enhancements mentioned here: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=10393

I haved cached my databases twice, but every time i start PT i get this message:

The active database does not contain a populated cache.
Updating the cache will result in the Hud operating much faster and smoother.
Please go to the database housekeeping to update the cache.
