I don't think that's been decided yet, but I would expect by the time PT4 is released it will probably install a newer version of PostgreSQL for first time installs. I doubt that it will upgrade an existing PostgreSQL installation automatically, though - I will mention the idea to the devs.

Thanks. At least it would be good if it could ask for it.

Do u guys get EV graph right like HM?? I am envy of HM's (dollar vs tourney) graph for a long time. PS4 will be a bit useless to me and alot of regular tournament players will probably agree with me on this if they can't get the job done this...

I do not agree: that is one of the most useless features HM has...
What I envy from them is the blazingly fast response to change: when a pr changes something they're so fast in adjusting their software while PTx takes some more time. But I am not missing at all a graph that is flawed in its theoric implant..

I can't go into details yet, but there will be ICM functionality in PT4, along with other things to help your tournament analysis.

New Stats

Postby LittleDrug » Mon Jun 20, 2011 12:18 am

Hello guys! I can't wait for the new version (PT4) to be released!
Will you add to the database resources that will make it possible to create stats like:
3-Bet vs Raise From (Early Position / Middle Position / Cut-Off / Button / Small Blind) - To see how frequently a player 3-Bets when the first raise come from different positions?
I think this is a very powerful engine that will help us creating a lot of useful stats and is a engine that we don't have in PT yet.
Thanks for your attention!
Arthur.

One thing I have been told the competition has and PT3 not (to my knowledge) is the option to create filtered statistics.
As I have got it, you can opt to choose on the HUD to show your opponents stats based on the number of players at the table: of course the PFR ratio is very different when you're 9-left and when you're 2-left, and having one for them all is not so meaningful.
Will PT4 also allow this kind of filtering?

You can (and always have been able to) do that in PT3 - see "Player Ranges" in the HUD Options. This will of course still be in PT4, although it is possible the options will changes a little.
