That one slowed the computer to a crawl when tracking 18 tables on full tilt and also crashed about once an hour with some crap about an access violation, and my personal stats came and went with the wind. However when reloaded it would pick up where it left off and the statistics seemed to be accurate.

This one has been a disaster since yesterday. Originally I did housekeeping and it came up with there was something wrong with the database so I was told to reload it all. After taking over an hour to purge the old database I began to load all of the hand histories over 1 million which took literally eight hours from 4 AM until noon. So fine at least it was done and then I ran housekeeping which took a couple hours and it got through the first three until it came to updating cache. That will run for a few minutes on my totally reloaded fresh database and then it stops with a clunk and says

An error occurred in the internal thread. Exception: Connection lost to database:PT3 DB

After trying that a couple of times with the same result I decided to just try to track hands and see what happened. It is clear it isn't picking up the entire database because most of the tables are shown with the players having no previous hands recorded and that rarely happens because I have a huge database. Then I was tracking a tournament my friend was playing and her original number of hands was correct and after a little while it stops saying she had almost 1600 hands that had been tracked and started saying only 41 as it did for everybody else at the table. It completely forgot its database in mid-game.

So I shut it off and tried again and again the updating cache worked about six minutes and then returned the same error about connection loss to database and the statistics page says the same. It will not load and it says "Connection lost to database:PT3 DB". I was a reasonably happy customer of PT2 and I was ready to buy this thing today if it had worked the way the optimistic forecasts said it would but this thing is a disaster for me. I would like getting the updating cache thing to work even though I have not paid yet because I intend to but this doesn't work. I certainly hope you're not going to tell me to purge the database and start over but I will do what it takes to get this thing to work if you will help thank you.

Seems like a PostgreSQL issue where Postgres is losing connection. When you hit CTRL-ALT-DELETE to open your Task Manager, under the processes tab, how many postgres.exe processes do you see and what are their cpu & memory usages?

I `m really disappointed with your software AND your information policy.

When you launched PT3 in May you said Ongame would be fully supported within two weeks.

Now three month later you release Beta 16 which should include full Ongame support, as you told in the timeline thread.

But nothing happened. You don`t even answer the guys questions about Ongame support.

I expected this kind of behaviour and bought Holdem Manager some weeks ago.

OnGame support will more than likely be finished before the end of September. We had all intentions of finishing OnGame support; however, after stability and performance issues arose, they were immediately placed as priority number one. I will admit, it was a poor decision to release OnGame support only half way functional or any other feature for that matter. This will not be happening in the future and we have learned from this mistake.

Derek

Before complaining about issues, please start a new thread to get your issue resolved.

The problem is more than likely not directly related to Beta 16 and is a configuration or installation issue.

We will admit our mistakes and take blame for issues; however, we are being incorrectly blamed in this thread for a lot of "problems" which can easily be resolved.

Still Can't Install Beta 16. There are no instances of Poker Tracker 3 running. Here is the error I get.

Error opening file for writing. C:\Program Files\Poker Tracker\Poker Tracker.exe

Click abort to stop the installation,
Retry to try again or
Ignore to skip this file.

Beta 15 installed without any difficulties. What could be wrong?

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Seriously, we released beta 16 less than 24 hours ago and you brought your problem to our attention less than 7 hours ago. We're trying to help you, but you have to be willing to work with us. Constantly threatening to go to the competition isn't working with us.

Are you running Vista? If so, have you made sure PT3 is still set to run as admin (this is different than you logged into an administrator account)?

I use XP, and im willing to help you to resolve the problems because i think pt3 have a big potential... In can answer all question you will asking to me, the best i can. (My english is not very well, im french.)

Before you install, if you hit CTRL-ALT-DELETE to open your Task Manager, under the 'Processes' tab, do you see any 'PokerTracker.exe' running? If so, try right-clicking -> End Process. Then proceed with installing beta 16.

I found a bug :

Stopping the HUD while (Titan - iPoker) tables are opened is impossible.
Titan and the HUD freeze and I must kill the pokertrackerhud.exe (process) before titan works again.

Closing all tables first and than the HUD is possible

The active database does not contain a populated cache.
Updating the cache will result in the Hud operating much faster and smoother.
Please go to the database housekeeping to update the cache.

Mine is doing this also

Thanks. Please create a ticket on the Support system about this. Please enable logging, reproduce the problem by playing a few hands on a single table and submit your PokerTracker.log and PokerTrackerHUD.log files (zip/compress them first, call it logs.zip) to the Support system , and link to this thread in the reference field of the ticket so that we can investigate.
